PEDWIN and PEDIGREE - software for managing dog pedigrees and tracking show titles and awards.

Both of these programs are shareware created for building a database of dogs in any breeds.  In addition to pedigrees, you may create lists of descendants, line breeding lists with genetic influence percentages, and top producing lists.  The programs also allow searching the database by Kennel Name, Owner, Breeder and other fields.  The unregistered shareware versions are limited to 300 animals in a database, but are otherwise as identical to the registered versions.

PEDIGREE is written for DOS, while the newer program PEDWIN has been written for Microsoft Windows. There are two versions available, one for Windows 3.1 and the other for Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP. You may download the latest shareware version of any program by clicking on the buttons below.

Version 1.34 of PEDWIN has eliminated some of the causes of the ISAM 10070 error dealing with corrupted files. Picture display in the background has been revised to allow for a different picture for each breed data set used. Animal records may be edited when viewing any report by highlighting a name and right clicking the mouse.

Version 1.33 of PEDWIN fixed problems with restoring backup data sets, corrected display of pedigrees with no titles, added a 'left handed pedigree' to the pedigree copy function and added the ability to display a picture as background on the main display. Additional fixes and corrections to the to the unregistered shareware version were also made.

Version 1.32 of PEDWIN corrects the size of a pedigree placed on the Windows clipboard and fixes a 'Parameter Not Correct' error when displaying a pedigree at high screen resolution. The line breeding list now supports more than 9 generations for the display.

The latest revisions to both PEDIGREE and PEDWIN are multi-user compatable. Both programs may be run simultaneously, or either may be used by multiple users over a network, working with the same data files. PEDWIN now has separate versions for Windows 3.1(16 bit) and newer Windows operating systems (32 bit). The Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP version is significantly faster on those operating systems.
