Many types of policy offer some form of legal advice, help or assistance and will often charge you a fee for access to the services of a lawyer either as part of the insurance premium or as an "add on".

As with Uninsured Loss Recovery the chances of you actually needing to call on this service are statistically very small, so if you have not "opted out" but find yourself in need of assistance or help with a situation which involves a legal issue you can contact CMS. Whilst it should be carefully noted that CMS are not lawyers we can offer you help in evaluating your case and thereafter locating a lawyer in the country where your problem arose.

To cover our administration costs we charge £15 as an initial registration/review fee wherein we will evaluate your case and provide you with a report of our findings. Beyond providing details of a lawyer we will have no involvement whatsoever in pursuing your case, and all fees, costs and expenses will be payable by you to the lawyer concerned.

NOTE : Our fees cover our time and correspondence costs, they do not cover the costs of any outside professional or specialist, e.g. investigators, medical practitioners, lawyers, costs of litigation etc. The services of specialists will only be engaged with your prior written agreement, and you will be invoiced direct for their services.
