Kahvalti (breakfast) consists of fresh, delicious ekmek (bread) with jam or honey, butter, salty black olives, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers and cheese, as well as cay (tea) or coffee.You can also order a yumurta (egg). Soft?boiled is uc dakikalik, hard?boiled is sert and fried eggs are sahanda yumurta.

Meze & Salads A proper Turkish meal consists of a long procession of dishes starting with meze (hors d'oeuvres which can include almost anything. You can easily make an entire meal of meze. Often you'll be brought a tray from which you can choose what you want. Salads are primarily served as part of the meze, although simple salads are often served as side dishes to the main course.
