calmness of our tranquil surroundings and to relax in our
gardens which usually enjoy all day sun as we are south
facing and look out over picturesque unspoilt
countryside. The setting is very pleasant and offers various delights depending on the season; for example in the early summer months long warm light evenings make aperitifs on the terrace and barbeques an attractive proposition. Later in the season as the nights draw in but the evenings stay warm, it is just super to sit under the moonlight gazing up at the clear night skies. Winter is lovely too ! Our gites are stone built and are all open plan in design with many internal beams exposed in order to add to their rustic charm. "Brewer's Retreat " Three Bedroomed Detached Cottage Sleeping up to 6 People
Formerly the farm's cider house, this substantial building has been converted to provide quality detached accommodation.
Spacious ground floor accommodation of 70 square metres suitable for all, including persons with reduced mobility.
It offers two ground floor bedrooms plus a third mezzanine bedroom, in total sleeping up to six people, serviced by two bathrooms (one ensuite).
The old world charm of this cottage is evident throughout, in the beamed and vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework and fully tiled floors. This cottage has the benefit of full independent gas central heating which has been added for additional winter comfort.
The spacious open plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with crockery and glass ware. The kitchen area is modern and has a full sized oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine.
The separate lounge has french doors opening onto the terrace/garden area. There is a cosy open fire and the room is comfortably furnished.
There is also a dual system combination T.V and video recorder, radio/cassette and CD player.
The double set of french doors open to the front of the property on to a small private garden area, with views over the gardens, swimming pool and open farm land. Appropriate garden furniture and a barbeque are provided. There is ample parking space.
Bedroom 1 is situated to the rear of the property with full sized double bed. It benefits from an ensuite shower room with WC and hand basin.
Bedroom 2 is situated at the front of the property with twin beds.
Bedroom 3 is situated on the mezzanine level and has a double bed.
Second shower room (with grab rails), WC and hand basin.

Comfortable seating together with CD/radio/cassette complements the cosy wood burning fire whilst the compact kitchen area has a fridge, toaster, electric mini-oven with hot plates and is well equipped with cutlery, crockery and glass wear.
The first floor bedroom contains a double bed and en-suite shower and toilet.

To the front of the cottage is a small lawned area flanked by the old bread oven "Le Four Rouge" and adjoining the opposite side of the cottage is a private enclosed cobbled yard (the old pig-sty) which now offers an outside dining and sheltered barbeque area. However, all guests are welcome to stroll and sit anywhere within our 2 acres of gardens and with access to the shared swimming pool.
This property is available weekly or on a bed and breakfast basis making it an ideal choice for an off season break.
