Hello and welcome to my home page! Throughout this
site, I've compiled various information of personal interest.
This page is intended for family and friends. Anyone else who
might pass by, in their wanderings through cyberspace, is welcome and
may find something of interest herein.
This page contains personal opinions and beliefs here
and there as well...
I pray for the safety of our Military
fighting overseas for a just and honorable cause. I support my
Government and I support our President as they pursue this daunting task.
I will never forget the actions of the servants of hate on
9-11-01.
God bless the USA
Ye Olde Homestead Update:
Well, since the last time I edited this page (too long ago),
I've got a new roof put on the house, new windows installed, the
pool replastered
and some needed work done on my
HVAC unit
. I've completed a majority of the painting that needed
to be done on the house. I need to get some 'before and after'
pictures of the front of the house together. I've got the 'before'
picture but, it may be awhile for the 'after' shot. It will be
dramatic, that's for sure. I've got more painting to do in the
back of the house, but, I can do that at what ever pace I feel like dealing
with. The only thing left on the front of the house is the finish
molding around the garage door frame. Another summer is on the way
and I've got plenty of cool ideas.
Rocketry:
Things are sure getting interesting with amateur rocketry.
Between the BATF rule making and the Homeland Security Act, it's
starting to look kind of bleak. I've joined a letter-writing campaign
and sent letters off to both Senator Boxer and Senator Feinstein urging
them to consider supporting regulatory relief for amateur, high power
and model rocketry.
Check out the ARSA web site for further information:

I'd like to pursue getting my Class II Certification this
year. I've been putting off applying for an Low Explosives Users
Permit to see how things turn out with the TRA / NAR lawsuit and HSA
issues, but I think however things turn out, a permit is going to be
required for now.
I am very thankful for the folks out there who make
sport rocketry a major part of their lives and champion a cause
that is an important part of the human endeavor. Vertical propulsion
and space habitation will insure the longevity of Mankind. I
think amateur rocketry and private enterprise will be an important part
of our emergence into the infinite frontier! Follow these links

Bicycling:
I try to commute to work when ever I can. Most of my
ride to work is on the American River Bike Trail. Here are some
pictures
I've taken along the bike trail. I hope to do some touring
and post my experiences and pictures here in the future.
Family:
I've taken a few tentative steps toward getting a genealogy
page together. It truly is a daunting task. Fortunately,
there are some folks on my paternal side of the family that have documented
and published a wealth of information. On my maternal side of the
family I've been fortunate to get some information from one of my aunts.
I'd like to see more information from my mother's side of the family.
Perhaps as more and more people get internet access, I will hear from
these folks. My family history is very diverse, very American.
Like a lot of families in this great country, it consists of a complicated
meld of European and Native ancestry. For now, I've posted an
immediate family tree. I'd like to thank my Mom and Dad for their
help in putting this page together. Click

Military Memories:
A lot of good memories. There are few
pictures
to post, but I think the few that I have are interesting. I've
got some pictures from Germany while I was in the Regular Army and
from my California National Guard days.
