Château Cardou is set in a magnificent position in the middle of its 125 acre estate, commanding the Valley d'Or (the Golden Valley)! It is a perfect size for a perfect holiday with family and friends.
Cardou dominates its own land and enjoys wonderful views across and up its valley (just South of the river Lot) and for a distance of over 20 km. to the hilltop Bastide town of Monflanquin. It is approached up a long private drive, through a new plantation of mixed firs and tiny hardwood trees and surrounded by beautiful mature Chestnuts, specimen firs, Cherry and Ash.
The accommodation is mainly on the ground floor, which makes it a very comfortable house to live in, with cellars under and a huge insulated attic above thus able to expand or contract according to numbers. Both the cellar and the top floor can be completely closed off in Winter, when there is full oil fired Central Heating.
