MarC is an engineer - no wonder he can't spell his name correctly. MarC's cyberhome is the CompuServe (CIS) Diabetes and Hypoglycemia Forum, where he is usually found in section 7 (Diet & Exercise). MarC has been a Type II diabetic for about 16 years now and has been able to control the disease with a combination of diet and exercise, although he still has quite a lot of weight to lose. If he gets real courageous, he may post weight figures here.
MarC has had a long time interest in motorsports (but hasn't had enough time) and is a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), the secretary of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Sports Car Clubs (MWCSCC), and the vice-president of the Branded Rally Club of Maryland. His particular interest is in Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Rallying. MarC's first project car was a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite (Bugeye) named Froggy, and at one time owned a total of four bugeyes - mostly for parts. Sadly, he didn't have the time (or the garage) to continue working on the cars, and they eventually rusted away. But with a car named Froggy, everyone started to give him all sorts of thing froglike, and the little critters have now taken over the house and office. To see images of frogs and bugeyes click here.
MarC, also known as K3NCO, has held an amateur radio (ham) license for 36 years (gee I must be getting old).
MarC's recreational interests have turned to bicycling in recent years as a way to combine exercise with relaxation (this is relaxing?) and he hopes to do his first century (100 mile) ride in 1996, although the extended winter is sure making it hard to get out and practice.
To reach MarC send e-mail to 71201,513@compuserve.com - for this to work correctly you
will need to manually replace the comma with a period. Why would anyone do this? To avoid
unsolicited commercial e-mail (junk mail). Want more info? then try checking out:
