OUR FOUR BASIC PRINCIPLES

The Berean Forward Movement, sponsors of the Berean Publishing Trust and the Berean Tape Recording Service, have the following doctrinal basis in their Trust :

The inspiration of all Scripture.

The Deity of Christ.

The absolute necessity for, and all sufficiency of, His One Sacrifice.

The necessity to ‘Rightly Divide the Word of Truth’.

The first three of these basic principles would be accepted by many in the evangelical world, but the B.F.M. puts great emphasis on ‘Right Division’ as the key to understanding the Bible. The Berean Forward Movement is thus in a distinctive position.

We feel that this method of study is committed to us for making known the nature of the high calling of God, that calling revealed through Paul, the Prisoner of Jesus Christ for us Gentiles, during the prevailing interval of Israel’s temporary blindness. This blindness commenced around the time of Acts 28:28 and will continue up until the ‘latter days’, only then will a once blinded Israel look on Him Whom they pierced. It is then that the present Gentile ‘Stewardship’, referred to as the ‘Times of the Gentiles’ will be ended. Knowing this we can look forward to the resurrection life to come, which God is preparing for us, when we will be with Him forever. We would encourage you to emulate the Bereans of the Bible, ‘in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so’ (Acts 17:11 A.V.).
