Whirlpool in North America
With its affiliates, Whirlpool markets different brands of appliances in
different parts of the world. Each brand serves a carefully defined part of a
specific appliance market. Some brands are unique to one country, like
Laden in France. Others, like Consul in Latin America, have
strong regional appeal. While not yet global, the Whirlpool brand
name is gaining recognition worldwide, as we carry it with us to new countries
and new markets.

Appliance Safety
If you have questions about appliances please ask them from this Appliance Safety area. There is an email link here.
Please; before attempting to find out what is wrong with your appliance read the section on Electrical Safety first, then unplug the appliance. There are very few problems that can be diagnosed or repaired on an appliance with the power on. Do not turn the power on with the covers off, especially a microwave, the covers keep some very dangerous waves inside. These waves can cook you the same way it does your food. Don't bypass safety switches such as door switches. Don't bypass the lid switch on a washer or dryer. A turning tub has enough power to break a person's arm. Do not put your hand under a dishwasher with the power on. Don't leave covers off such as the toe plate of a dishwasher.
