Fishing Event Announcements

The following two fishing courses will be taught this March at Chesapeake College just across the Bay Bridges at Wye Mills on Maryland's Eastern Shore:

  EASTERN SHORE FISHING
This seminar, taught by outdoor writer Keith Walters on Saturday, April 3, 2004 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., is designed for anglers who want to know where, when, and how to find the Eastern Shore's best fishing. Tackle selection, knot tying, and rigging up to help you enjoy your summer of fishing Eastern Shore "hot spots" is the goal of this course.

   CATCHING STRIPED BASS
Bill Burton, Annapolis Capital Outdoors Editor, and Keith Walters, author of six fishing books, will conduct this one-day seminar on Saturday, April 10, 2004 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Techniques for catching striped bass will be accented, from trolling to chumming, and casting to bait fishing. The $49 tuition includes continental breakfast and lunch.

The Tidewater Anglers Club is the oldest and largest fishing club in the Tidewater Area. It holds meetings the second Tuesday in every month at Marina Shores in Virginia Beach. Meetings start at 7pm. Each Meeting features speakers sharing there expertise on the current fishing possibilities around the Tidewater Area. Membership is $15 per individual and $20 for the entire family.
