Link Syndication

If you make CNC or engineering products yourself, but you are not in direct competition with Anima Technical Computing (we make CNC and engineering training software) then we will be happy to negotiate an exchange of links. Just put a hotlink to

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/anima/homepage.htm

anywhere on your website, including a page like this one, and we will reciprocate by putting a hotlink to your home page on this page. Either e-mail us to tell us what you have done, or submit your page with the hotlink on it to AltaVista or Infoseek. We can then detect what you have done because each month we search for

link:ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/anima/homepage.htm

and if we find your link to us, then we will reciprocate as promised.

The Benefits

of link syndication are twofold. Firstly, your website becomes accessible to spider robots from many different search engines, so you get greater coverage. Some search engines such as WebCrawler will give you better treatment if there are independent external links to your site.

Secondly, it is actually possible for a search engine to forget you at random, because things do go wrong on the Internet. If there is an alternative pathway available to your site, then a spider robot can find you again and repair the damage. If we both operate independently, then sooner or later we may both be dropped from a search engine, but if we both link to each other, and one of us loses our link to a search engine, then there is still a chance to restore that link. There is no such chance if you decline a reciprocal offer like this one.

You are not being asked to advertise Anima Technical Computing, but simply to include a one-liner on an obscure part of your website. That's all we will do for you, after all, but you should find that it makes all the difference as far as various search engines are concerned.
