Course requirements are any I.B.M. or IBM-compatible personal computer, a 3.5 inch HD disk drive, and an EGA or VGA or SVGA monitor. The course runs in EGA.
Any screen in the course may be printed out at any time as a graphic print-out. The print-out driver is suitable for Epson 9 pin, 24 pin, IBM Proprinter, and Canon Bubble-Jet printers.
The use of a Mouse is recommended although the course will operate from the cursor keys on a standard keyboard.
There are four main sections to the course:

Each section has the same basic layout and is built around two pages. One is the Drawing Page and the other the Menu or Overlay Page. There is an immediate switch at any time between these Pages by pressing the Right Hand key on the Mouse or the letter Q on the keyboard. The Left hand key on the Mouse will act as the Return key.
There is a Memo displayed down the right hand side of the screen which gives a constant reminder of the current settings and functions available.
Below the Memo is the X,Y Cursor position Readout in either metric or inch units as appropriate.
As well as the Course disk you will receive a Data disk which contains Drawings and Notes to use in teaching. The data disk, entitled 'Training Data Disk 1', is used during sections 3 and 4.
