BISHOP'S CAP CACTUS astrophytum myriostigma.

OLD MAN OF THE ANDES CACTI oreocerus celsianus

This is a large cacti that can be used as a centerpiece or as patio plants. It is a stout, upright cactus that covers itself with attractive, long, white woolly hairs. This also makes a great rock garden plant.

GOLDEN BARREL CACTUS echinocactus grusonii.

A striking cactus plant from Mexico. Spherical when young becoming elongegated with age. The green body is covered with heavy gold-yellow spines. The flowers are a striking color of deep gold.

MEXICAN FIRE BARREL CACTUSferocactus.

An excellent inside/outside cactus that is covered with dark red spines and produces large  yellow flowers up to 5 in. in diameter. The Mexican fire barrel cactus is a very tolerant plant. Do not water during its winter resting period.

PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS OPTUNIA FICUS-INDICA.

The classic form of the prickly pear cactus with large flat oval pads and showy flowers. Bears beautiful, edible red, yellow or purple pear shaped fruits. This species of cactus is cold hardy. Seeds need 2 months cold treatment in the fridge, so order now!

HEDGEHOG CACTUS echinocereus.

A must for every cactus collection. The hedgehog cactus is small and globular in shape and covered with short curving spines. Flowers profusely. It is a very tolerant plant and is a good selection for beginners.

BARREL CACTI Ferocactus

Sea Urchin Cactus - Astrophytum asterias

This small spineless cactus has a gray-green to white-green body. Flowers with deep red throats appear after about five years. In winter, when dry and dormant, the saucerlike body shrinks to a flat disk. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. This cactus willl not tolerate temperatures below 50 degrees F.

Goats Horn Cacti - Astrophytum capricorne

So called because of it's wiry, gray to brown spines that twist around this small cacti. A very good pot cacti with a small dark green body, sometimes flecked with white. Flowers often have a wine-red throat. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 41 degrees F.

Silver Torch Cacti - Cleistocactus strausii

A fast growing branching columnar cacti from South America that is covered with eye-catching silvery spines when older. Starts out solitary when young, but branches out and creates it's own clumps as it matures. Can grow to 6 ft. tall. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 41 degrees F.

Claret Cup Hedgehog Cacti - Echinocereus triglochidiatus

Has unique corrugated ribs and vividly hued scarlet blooms along with pink berries in summer. When mature will spread out to form a 2 ft. wide clump about 8" tall. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 36 degrees F.

Rainbow Cacti ( Echinocereus rigidissimus v. rubrispinus )

The short spines of this small clumping cacti often occur in red and white bands. Also, a ring of pink to magenta spring flowers with pale throats, followed by green berries, appear on the crown of each stem. Flowers when quite small. When mature, will form a clump about 2 ft. wide by 9" tall. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 41 degrees F.

Compass Barrel Cactus ( Ferocactus cylindraceus )

The long, hooked flame red spines of this barrel cacti become very dense with age. Retains it's barrel shape with age and offers bell-like flowers in orange and yellow colors. A slow grower, a mature plant outside could 10 ft. tall by 3 ft. across in time. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Crows Claw Cacti - Ferocactus latispinus

With age, the red spines become broad and hooked and lay flat against the ball shaped body, thus the name. A mature plant only reaches about 10" tall by 15" across. Cream to purple flowers appear in Spring and sometimes Autumn. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 41 degrees F.

Snowball Pincushion Cacti ( Mammillaria candida )

The body of this small clumping cacti is cloaked in dense white spines, which are often pink tipped. Produces rings of flowers in Spring that begin cream colored, then turn pink, then brown. It is suggested that limestone should be added to the soil mixture of this plant as it need extra calcium to flourish. Good container plant for inside, it requires a warm climate if grown outside. Will not tolerate temperatures below 41 degrees F.

A thick mantle of bristlelike golden spines and a dense white wool on

new growth of mature plants gives this cactus it's name. Bears small yellow flowers in Spring and Summer. Slow growing ball shaped plant that is about 8" tall when mature. A small sun loving cacti that is usually globular ( about 10" when mature ), and spiked with dense red and yellow spines. Sports extremely beautiful pink/mangeta/white blooms when still very young. San Pedro Cacti ( Trichocereus pachanoi )

A dark green columnar cacti that can reach 10-20 ft. tall. Bears showy white fragrant flowers at night that can reach 9" across. Cold hardy outside to 15 degrees when mature. Good cacti for beginners.

Peruvian Torch Cacti ( Trichocereus pervianus )

Stout 6-12 ft. columnar cacti with bluish-green color. An easy to grow, fast growing cacti that features large 10" sweet scented flowers that bloom at night. Cold hardy to 25 degrees when mature.
