Most taken by photographer Andrew Brooks inc many released from private collections
for the very first time. Many taken by Buccaneer Aircrew / Ground crew throughout the years
from the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy AND the South African Air Force (SAAF).

The photographs cover a wide range of subjects, typically like the ones seen here on
our web site. Many Low level or Air to Air, there's the Gulf War and Buccaneers on Royal Navy
Aircraft Carriers such as the Ark Royal, Hermes, Eagle and Victorious.
Many slamming onto the deck, take-off's or unbelievable low level flypasts.

See the crews sitting in their aircraft waiting to start engines (probably for the last time)
and taxi, the Pilot and Nav working together (makes a change, ha!) to fire up the Speys.
Watch the anticipation on their faces as the adrenalin pumps through their veins,
for this "was their 'final' curtain call".

See the jets taxi out, wings un-folding like giant birds of prey. The take-off's,
the Very Low Level 'Beat up' of the field, including the Buccs on approach and landing at
RAF Lossiemouth for THE VERY LAST TIME!
See the 'Banana Jets' taxi back to the 'line' when all of the Buccaneers simultaneously
folded their wings and shut down their engines together.

Experience and share with them, their emotion as you see the faces of the crews
as they climb down those huge ladders from 'their' aircraft for the last time,
an aircraft that had taken some of them to War.... and, brought them safely back home again!
They knew right then, that they WERE, the 'LAST OF THE FEW'

Experience and embrace this unique moment as I captured on film what I consider
to be a VERY SPECIAL but EQUALLY SAD day in BRITISH AVIATION HISTORY.
As the Pilots and Navigators of 208 Sqn ("The last of the few") get out and take a final
pose next to their aircraft and say "goodbye" to the 'Brick' with a final champagne toast.

The LAST few days of flying are also covered, inc photographs of Flt Lt Dick Catterall
and Flt Lt Jon Parsons in XV332 getting ready to fly from RAF Cottesmore to RAF Marham
on 12th April 1994.
Why?
Because this was THE LAST EVER RAF BUCCANEER TO FLY OVER THE BRITISH MAINLAND.
Also included is the touch down and landing of XV332 at Marham and the two airmen posing
with their aircraft.

Actual Gulf War video footage (high res MPEG inc in cockpit chat) of LGB's
(Laser Guided Bombs) hitting their targets. HAS Sites (Hardened Aircraft Shelters),
Bridges, Runways, even Aircraft inc the Antonov 12 Cub that the World watched on their
TV screens disintegrate with awesome accuracy!!
All of which have been designated (Spiked) by Buccaneers for Tornado GR-1's to drop
and some EVEN 'Spiked AND Dropped by Buccaneers such as the An-12 attack..
