The accommodation at Montrose Air Station during the Great War. The names of those in the picture
is not known, but look carefully at the back wall and you will see a caricature of the Kaiser as
an ape/monster complete with spiked helmet.

 
An NCO watches over his squad as an air gunner trains at the butts circa 1918. The bridge over the railway line
still exists on the old aerodrome. At this time American and British Empire personnel were training here.
