This is a regular Shadowfist tournament which takes place in Finchley on the last Saturday of every month. Current practise is to assemble at mid-day and start playing as sufficient players arrive. Late comers are accommodated at any hour but may start behind if they turn up after 13:00.
The format is multi-player, double-elimination. The standard number of players in each game is four but other numbers may need to be used if we don't have an exact multiple. Double elimination means that players are eliminated from the tournament when they have lost two games. When the numbers have been reduced to one table, the winner of this final game wins the tournament. Eliminated players are put into a consolation round and the winners of these games receive a minor prize.
Currently there is an entry fee of £1 to cover the room hire. The winner receives a prize from my stockpile - a signed rare, a promo card or a trophy throwing star.
Detailed tournament rules will be added here soon. The important thing to know is that we are currently using the Retrofist rules.
