Why "speak truth in love?"

With Allah's help I aim to respect and love everyone no matter what religious background they come from.

It is a sad fact that this fundamental principal is neglected so often by people who claim to be following God. As soon as the beliefs they hold are questioned they tend to become furious, abusive, forceful and sometimes violent.

While this is humanly speaking understandable, especially when truth is told in unlovable ways, it is nevertheless not excusable. In a mysterious way Allah gives us the opportunity to choose our own paths. We too must therefore give each other the freedom of choice regarding our beliefs. We may not agree but we must respect each other. As long as our beliefs do not endanger the life of others they are to be tolerated.

Jesus said:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)

Love can never be forced upon anybody otherwise it produces fear and both, love and fear are by definition mutually exclusive.

Let us therefore be different! Let us speak truth to each other in love and thereby fulfill God's commandment (New Testament, Ephesians 4:15)!

The contents of this Web site shall reflect my commitment to truth spoken in love. The reader may still sometimes take offense. it is because love occasionally has to hurt in order to always seek the best for others. If my son, for example, overlooks the red traffic light while I am with him in his car I will do whatever is necessary to prevent an accident. At first he will be irritated but once he realizes what we were spared from he will be grateful.
