It
is EASY to PRINT OUT these Bible Studies for use 'off-line'.In fact, after you finish reading this page,
why don't you check and be sure
your printer is ready to print
by printing out this page of instructions.
To test your printer by printing this page, look at the menu bar on your 'Browser.' This is usually located at or near the top of the monitor screen. Click on the word PRINT (or whatever word your Browser uses to let you print). (Windows 95 users might have to Right-Click your mouse to print.). Then follow the instructions that your computer gives you. For example, it will probably ask you questions such as: "how many copies", etc. Tell it you want one copy. (You can always photocopy more later.) You will probably also be asked to confirm that it will print to the printer you have 'on-line.' Just do what your computer tells you to do.
IF there is NO word on your menu bar to let you PRINT, don't panic. There is
another way to print. Look for the word FILE (I am assuming you are running
Windows) in another menu bar. Click on FILE and a 'drop down list' will 'drop down'.
Somewhere in that list will be the PRINT command. Click on that PRINT command. Then
follow the instructions your computer gives you.
After you have given the commands to print, there will be a pause while
the material to be printed is sent to your computer's memory. I am assuming
that your computer is using some version of Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. If so, then,
during the time that the material is being sent to the computer's memory, you will
see the 'hourglass' ( I don't know what you 'Mac People' see, but I assume it is
something similar.) Wait until the 'hourglass' (or 'whatever') has
vanished and your printer begins to actually print. Then you can continue
on with whatever you want to do and your printer will print in the 'background' for
as long as it takes to print out its task.
Any time AFTER the hourglass (or whatever) has gone away and the printer has begun to print, you can go on to doing anything else you want to do. You can even, believe it or not, (if you are a Window's user and I assume this is also true for you 'Mac' people, too), leave the Web site! You can even log off the internet! You can do anything EXCEPT turn off your computer.
So, if you are printing out a 20 page Bible Study, for example, you do NOT have
to stay on line! You can log off and let the computer finish its task while your
'Web Meter' is no longer running! For those of us with sloooooow printers, this is
indeed good news!
After you have printed out the Bible Study or whatever, you can photocopy it and share it with others -- your friends, Home Bible Study group, Sunday School class, or whatever.
But Please remember, So, please do NOT CHANGE the material in ANY way. Also do NOT SELL these Bible Studies for profit.
