A few years ago, on a trip to Scotland, I discovered the taste of Malt Whisky. Until then I didnīt like anything stronger than a beer. Now I still donīt. Except for the whisky. I started to collect. By now itīs a neat collection of fine Malts. Of course, from time to time I open a bottle. Why shouldnīt I write about it and let you take part? Maybe this gives me the chance to introduce this nectar to you. Just give it a try.
One thing is important to mention. The descriptions I give of the malts are only to give you an idea of what to expect. Not everybody will agree with me in certain cases; I donīt always agree with Michael Jackson (the whisky + beer author) either... The text reflects only my opinion. Not more, not less. The thing is, that a malt will taste differently depending on your mood, time of day, the place and all kinds of little factors.
Thatīs one of the reasons why I love malt whisky: Something new to discover every day.
Some of the labels are cut-off. This is because of the scanning-width of the hand-scanner Iīm using. The labels are scanned directly from the bottle. Thatīs why they are sometimes a little distorted. Iīll have to take pictures of the entire bottles to scan. Iīm working on it. The other pictures are taken by myself in Scotland and at the distilleries.
Please excuse my lousy english. I ask you to correct me. If nobody corrects me, I wonīt learn :-)
Slainte!
