Campbeltown

Once the home of more than 30 distilleries, there are only two left producing three Malts and some Vats. The distinctive character of these Malts justifies to treat these Malts as a "region".

Springbank

This distillery produces another Malt too. The name is Longrow and it is much peatier. IŽll write on this one later...

This fine Malt has a delicious nose that reveals sherry, nuts, salt and some peat. The colour is full amber. The palate is complex and big. Hard to discribe. I think, this comes close: nuts, toffee, calvados. The palate reminds of shores with tang and iodine. The finish is long and again, nuts.

A great Malt and fine representant of this whisky-region.
