| The Metropolitan Transit Authority of New York had a brainstorm in recent years called Poetry in Motion. Instead of forcing me to stare at consecutive panels of strange looking people in Gap ads during my daily ride of misery on the D-train, I get to stare at intermittent panels of strange looking people in Gap ads. The other panels contain poems or pieces of prose that are occasionally insipid but often (surprisingly) good. I liked this one so much, I copied it on the back of my Wall St. Journal. I've never heard of Muriel Rukeyser, which makes it an even cooler find. |
