Quirky and fun stuff that doesn't have anything to do with the meaning of life usually accounts for most of my internet wanderings. Click the thumbnail illustrations to get to the links.

Backgammon:
I enjoy playing some computer games, but I also like to think that I have a life. So I try to be selective about which games actually occupy my time on the occasional insomniac Tuesday night. George Sutty's Windows Backgammon game is one of the best shareware games that I've seen out there. You can download it here, zipped to 40K.

Green M&MDigital Candy:
Yes, there is actually enough important information to convey to the candy-eating public to justify an entire corporate website devoted to M & M's. If you're an M & M junkie, as I am, you will maniacally download all of the digital freebies that they offer, i.e. a screensaver, icons, bitmaps for wallpaper, sound files, etc. Watch out for the green ones...

The Hut:
Try The Show at The Hut. It's a multimedia, tongue-in-cheek, Q&A mind game that's kitchy and fun. Finally, a site with embedded music that's not annoying (who knew?). Don't go there with a slow modem or a low version browser; this game is written in Javascript (a language that I am currently struggling to learn). Oh, and as the site advises, don't blink. Heh, heh.

PopPop:
A somewhat addictive freeware game from Europress Software that is as stupid as it is fun. If you secretly enjoy bursting balloons, get some help, but download this first (zipped to a mere 560KB).

Web-A-Sketch:
The cyber version of one of my favorite playthings is by far more clever than Etch-a-Sketch's actual site. Have your $3,000 computer act like the $14.95 toy.

Cyber-Seuss
Cyber-Seuss:
Find out about the man himself, and check out some very sharp Seussian images. I've kept kosher throughout my entire life, but I love Green Eggs and Ham...

The President:
The White House has a very slick, professional looking website. It's good to see our tax dollars at work. Besides the obvious entertainment value, you can also gripe to and/or congratulate President Clinton, which is always nice to do if you have a lot of free time.
The Other Bill

Software
Software "Eggs":
These are cute tricks and routines that are hidden inside of common software packages code. David Nagy-Farkas has organized a list of some truly clever eggs. 'Course, I can say that because I'm a contributor.
