uite often I become frustrated, when I learn of anyone I know buying cd's at say, Sam Goody and paying FULL PRICE. "Aaaargh! Get a computer!" I scream, and inform the victim of the ten million free cd incentive programs at CDNow, MusicBoulevard, etc. It’s stuff like this that everyone should know. Here are a few select tidbits of information that I have picked up along the way. Click on the thumbnail illustrations to get to the links. I didn't list any Internet search engines, although I use them all the time, because if you don’t know how to find Yahoo or Lycos yet, go out and buy that Internet for Dummies book. Sheesh.

	Free Stuff Links: There's no such thing as a free lunch, but there is such a thing as a free CD Rom. The Web is a treasure chest of somethin's for nothin's.

Kellogg's Card Shop: Have Toucan Sam wish your cyberhip parents a Happy Anniversary, or have Tony the Tiger tell a friend Thank You. Kellogg's has a free online greeting card service that probably won't put Hallmark out of business, but gosh it's cute.

	777-FILM: Hullo, and welcome to Moviephone! Yup, the site works just like the phone service, but I miss that warm, enthusiastic mechanical voice. "If you know the name of the movie you'd like to see..."

Bartlett's Familiar Quotations: "Oh, what a tangled web we weave..." Now who said that? Look it up with this site's comprehensive search function.

	How's the Weather? Ah, the quintessential small-talk topic. Find out what it's like out of my window here in Brooklyn, or what it's like out of yours. Or just peel your eyes off the screen and look out of the (actual) window. You need to get out more.

WebFerret: I'm pretty glad that my friend Jeff clued me into the FerretSoft site. This powerful little piece of (free) software searches websites on all the search engines simultaneously. FerretSoft makes similar search monsters for email addresses and FTP'ing. I couldn't function without my Ferret.

	BonusMail: Go to the BonusMail site and join. It's free, and they give you points just for reading advertisers' offers that they send to you via email every now and then. How many other places reward you for reading junk email? Eventually, with enough points, you can get free stuff. I have my eye on a Barnes & Noble gift certificate.

Travel Discounters: This online service will discount $50-$150 off of the top of any published airline fare in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Aside from the usual airline discount restrictions, there seem to be no strings attached. You even get your frequent flyer miles.

	Free Fonts: Everyone could use an extra font, right? Some of these sources are updated quite frequently, and the fonts changed periodically. The Microsoft site is one of these. Download, download, download...
