Swedish Meatballs

For sauce, combine:
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 16 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 T. lemon juice
Bring mixture to a boil. Season 1 lb. chopped meat lightly with garlic and onion. (Optional - add an egg--not so healthy, but it makes more meatballs). Form small meatballs and add to simmering sauce. Cook for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Serve as an appetizer over rice or as a main dish.
