Stuffed Cabbage for Succos |
For meat mixture, combine:

Once you have prepared the meat, put whole head of green cabbage stalk down in a large pot of boiling water for ten minutes. Remove from pot, but do not discard boiled water. Throw out outer leaves. Peel off large leaves, soak briefly in boiled water, and then rinse with cold tap water. Fold up heaping teaspoonfuls of the meat mixture envelope style into the leaves. Boil in a broth of 3 cans of tomato sauce, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. raisins for 1-1 1/2 hrs. |
