Almost Healthy Sloppy Joes

Brown 1 lb. lean chopped meat in a deep frying pan over a low flame in approximately 1/4 cup water (do NOT add oil!). Drain meat in a colander and put back in the pan. Add 1 can tomato sauce, a sliced red and green pepper, five sliced mushrooms and a sliced onion. Season with garlic and pepper. Cover pan and let cook over low flame for about twenty minutes. Serve piping hot in crusty, thick rolls with pickles, or serve over rice as a main dish. Also makes great taco filling.
