Shavuos Pizza

You will need:
  • 1 large round plain water challah
  • shredded mozarella cheese
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • oregano
  • garlic powder
  • 1 green, 1 red and 1 yellow pepper, sliced into rings
  • 6 mushrooms, well washed, sliced thinly
  • 1 small onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 1/2 c. chopped black olives
  • olive oil
Slice open challah horizontally like a giant English muffin. Spread bottom half with tomato sauce, shredded mozarella cheese, oregano and garlic. Pile high with pepper rings, sliced mushrooms, onions and olives. Sprinkle with olive oil. 1/2 hour before serving, pop into 350 degree oven until cheese is bubbly. Cover with top half and cut into wedges. Serve "sandwiches" as a light Yomtov dairy lunch.
