Q: Mandelbrot 1 3 eggs, well beaten 1 c. oil 3 c. flour, sifted 1 c. sugar 1 t. vanilla extract 1 t. baking powder 1 c. ground or finely chopped almonds Beat together eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in remaining ingredients. Form into 3-4 long rolls each about 2 inches wide. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven. Cut while warm into diagonal slices about 1 inch thick. Yields about 36 pieces. Variation: To toast mandelbrot, turn slices on their sides and sprinkle with a mixture or 3 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
