| This is from 9/18/97. Another Steve Hausman original; a bit more seasonal. I love this stuff.

Chag Sameach, Susie Q
Here's a little rhyme for you
Yes, Chag Sameach, Susie Q-sie
A happy holiday to you-sie
The day it is now drawing nigh
For the Holiday so High
Selichot will be right along
If you sleep late, they'll ring a gong
It's almost time to go to shul
Two full days, now that's the rule
The services they will be great
Wake up, Little Susie, don't be late
The date's the same it was last year
No need to say it, it's so clear
And Yom Kippur will come soon after
In Torah we'll read a chapter
I hope you have an easy fast
Only one long day will it last
Listen to the Song of Jonah
So you won't from hunger moana
But when with hunger you begin to shake
And the fast do finally break
Go fres some herring, lox and vodka
Eat as much as you really wanta
(But don't ever eat green eggs and lox
That must taste like a bunch of phlox)
And when we're done we'll build the succah
(I'll promise not to smoke my hookah)
And what about Shemini Atzeros?
I'll celebrate that one on the terrace
What's that you say? Where's Simchat Torah?
On that day we'll dance a hora
Further down the road a bit
Chanukah is a big hit
We'll light those candles, maybe eight
A latke repast is our fate
But now again it's time to go
Another holiday, another show....
