Quivering, spinning, flashing, revolving gif images have been spicing up web pages for a while now. These are some animated gifs that I have created (using the killer shareware program, GIF Construction Set,) a few of which I have scattered throughout Q. In some cases I didn't create the original gif in each frame, as in the moving hand from the Sistine Chapel, but in other cases I just fooled around in a paint program and animated the results. Animation is great fun, and I hope to add some more interesting gifs to this listing pretty soon.

Feel free to borrow any of these gifs for your non-commercial websites, but do put my link behind it, i.e."A HREF="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Susieq", and please email me and let me know where you put the gif, so that I can take a look at how you've used it. You can download these gifs by positioning the cursor over them, clicking the right mouse button and selecting "Save this image..."

I liked my little typewriter so much, I entered it in It's Alive's animation contest. It's on this page, about 4 up from the bottom. I lost. Sigh. Such is life. However, the It's Alive folks were nice enough to link to The Animation Situation.

Randy Curtis surprised me by sending me this animation. He's got an interesting homepage that's worth a visit.

While you're browsing on this page, if you would like to download some decorative (non-animated) gif alphabets, take a look here...
