One surface layer of this layered sheet contains either aluminum pigment, or a thermal radiation reflecting substance, within a soft plastic film. A self-adhesive silicone rubber layer is provided on the opposite side of the sheet.

[Scope of the Patent Claims]

[Claim 1] A protective sheet for automotive windows; said protective sheet being characterized by as being a layered sheet containing a core material; where one surface layer of this layered sheet contains aluminum pigment, or a thermal radiation reflecting substance, within a soft plastic film; and where a self-adhesive silicone rubber layer is provided on the opposite side of the core material.

[Claim 2] A protective sheet for automotive windows per Claim 1, characterized in that the core material is a woven cloth, braided mesh, or a nonwoven; said fibers are one type or a mixture of fiber types comprising at least on of the following: glass, ceramic, asbestos, polyester, vinylon, nylon, acryl, rayon, cotton, etc.; and said plastic film is made from a resin comprising at least one of the following: polyethylene terphthalate, polyester, nylon, polymethacrylic acid, polyolefin (such as polyethylene, polystyrene, etc.), or a polyvinyl compound (such as polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, etc.).

[Claim 3] A protective sheet for automotive windows per Claim 1, characterized in that said soft plastic comprising at least one of the following: urethane-type resin, polymethacrylic acid, vinyl chloride-type resin, cellulose derivative, alkyd resin, styrol-type resin, melamine resin, polyolefin-type resin, etc.; and said soft plastic has good water and climate resistance.

[Claim 4] A protective sheet for automotive windows per Claim 1, said protective sheet being characterized in that the self-adhesive silicone rubber has an adhesive strength of 5 - 600 grams

per 25 mm2.
