Unlike most previous electronic pad systems, the SHERPA pad's SOFT TOUCH HIGH BOUNCE playing surface REDUCES the chances of developing that nasty "tennis elbow " which comes from playing on hard surfaces. It also prevents wear and tear on your favourite pair of drum sticks. The actual STICK BOUNCE has increased, allowing for a more controllable bounce than that of a cymbal, hi hat or real drum, giving you smoother control over the sticks for more accuracy in complex playing passages.
The HIGH BOUNCE - SOFT TOUCH playing surface minimizes the contact noise between the drum sticks and the Cymbal Pad, Hi Hat Pad, and the Percussion Pads, allowing the late night apartment drummer with a set of headphones, MIDI interface and sound source to play the night away in full stereo sound without disturbing the neighbours.

Hi Hat Pad offer EIGHT INCHES of the same HIGH BOUNCE SOFT TOUCH rubber. The Bass Pad also has the very same ELEVEN INCH playing surface to accomodate your favourite single or double bass drum pedal. The Crash Cymbal Pad (SP63STCP) and Ride Cymbal Pad (SP63DTCP) mount directly onto ALL cymbal stands with no extra clamping required. The Hi Hat Pad (SP63H) comes complete with all hardware, and mounts onto ANY hi hat stand The Tom Pad (SP63STPP ) and the Snare Pad (SP63DTPP) come equipped with a patent pending UNIVERSAL MOUNTING SYSTEM which is a djustable to fit ANY SIZE tom stand arm you choose to use. The Bass Pad (SP63BP), with its patent pending stopper will REDUCE sliding on carpet surfaces. All pads are equipped with a standard
1/4 inch phono plug, requiring no special cables for that quick and easy set up.

The Hi Hat pad comes with two plugs. One of the plugs are for the footswitch plug on the ALESIS DM5 which switches between the open and close sounds and the other plug goes directly into input one of the ALESIS DM5 for the trigger. This set up also gives you a pedal sound which can be triggered off with your foot. It also has a sensitivity boost switch giving you that extra bite for triggering the sounds with your foot. The snare pad (SP63DTPP) also comes with a RIM sensitivity boost switch allowing you to combine and mix the RIM sound with the centre of the pad sound giving you a real and distinctive snare sound every time you hit the snare pad, this can also allow for layering of two sounds on the one snare pad. Not only are these pads encased in a sleek streamlined, round edged HIGH IMPACT SPACE -AGE PLASTIC giving them maximum STRENGTH and DURABILITY, they are also very LIGHT-WEIGHT & COMPACT making transportation a breeze - which is ideal for the mobile drummer.
