Katie is sickened by having Storm's heart inside her.
Katie lies in her hospital bed reading the note Storm left her. She reads the part where he told her not to be angry because their sisters would need them and wonders if she can do what Storm asked. Nick drops by to keep Katie company, since he knows her family is at the wedding. He sees her reading Storm's note and asks if she needs something for the "happy ending" Storm wanted, but Katie tells him that she doesn't see it as a happy ending. In fact, she thinks it's sick. Nick sees where it might feel creepy to have her brother's heart inside her, but it's better to be creeped out than dead. Katie argues that it wasn't Storm's choice to make. Nick reads Storm's note and thinks it sounds like it was written by a man trying to make amends, but Katie wonders if their selfish attempts to keep Storm out of jail may have led to all this. Nick tells her that it's too late to undo now. He reminds her that her family prayed for a miracle, and they got one, and that's something to be grateful for. If she can't do it for herself, do it for her sisters.

Nick offers to help Katie.
Katie tells Nick that Storm didn't have to die. But if Storm hadn't, Nick reminds her, she would have died. Katie doesn't know if she can live with knowing that. Nick tells her how she was on death's door, with her family praying for a miracle to keep her alive once the heart pumps were turned off. He informs her how hard Bridget worked to have Storm's organs preserved until they could do the transplant. So even if she can't find it within her to thank Storm, there are plenty of other people to thank. Katie concedes that she's lucky to be alive, but she can't think of what her brother did as part of some larger plan. Nick reminds her that her family has always believed in destiny, so he suggests that she accept that this is hers and move on. Katie asks how she's supposed to do that when she finds herself thinking about how it feels to have her brother's heart inside every time she listens to her heartbeat. She feels lost every time she breathes. Nick sits down next to the bed and tells her that it's understandable that she feels that way, but he thinks she's still the same person she always was. He hasn't known her very long, but he thinks there's a chance that he might be able to help her feel like her old self. A tear flows down Katie's cheek as she considers Nick's words.

Kristen joins her siblings at the wedding.
At the Forrester mansion, Brooke comes out to the terrace to tell Stephanie that the wedding is about to begin. "In a few minutes," Brooke beams, "Donna and Eric will be husband and wife." "Not if he's the man I think he is," Stephanie retorts. Inside, Kristen has arrived and is having her picture taken with Thorne and Felicia while Bridget fixes Eric's tie for him. Eric sees Kristen and is thrilled to see her. Kristen tells him that Stephanie insisted she be there. Felicia tells Eric that it's not too late to back out. Eric simply gives her a look.

Taylor and Rick arrive together.
Meanwhile, Rick and Taylor arrive. Taylor wonders if it was a good idea for them to arrive together. Rick reminds her that her kids won't be there, but Taylor still worries that they might be giving the family something to talk about by arriving together. Rick points out that the family already has plenty to talk about with his dad marrying Donna in Stephanie's house.

Ashley asks Brooke how Katie is.
Across the room, Stephanie sees Pam is wearing a bone shaped pin on her dress in memory of her beloved Tiny. When Pam asks where the "killer bride" is, Stephanie reminds her of her promise not to do anything to disrupt the wedding. Meanwhile, Ridge brings Brooke a bouquet of flowers from the garden his late first wife Caroline kept on the grounds. Brooke asks if he's worried Donna won't tend to the garden and promises to make sure her sister keeps the garden up. Ridge reminds Brooke that Caroline's dying wish was to see them together, and it's finally happening. Brooke tells him that she wants that life, too, but she feels frozen in place with everything that happened with Katie and Storm. Ashley comes out to ask Brooke how Katie is. Brooke thanks her for asking and says Katie's stable. Ashley supposes that Storm is on everyone's mind today. Brooke says that's true, especially since Donna always thought Storm would be the one to walk her down the aisle. "But he had more important things to do for his baby sister," Ashley states. Brooke just wishes Katie agreed with that. They then go inside, where Brooke corners Eric and begs him to tell her that he's going through with the wedding. She doesn't want to see him let Donna down.

Stephen tries to reassure Donna.
Upstairs, Donna tells Stephen that it doesn't feel right without Katie here. Stephen reminds her that she's about to become Mrs. Eric Forrester and move into Stephanie's home, which he sees as a miracle. Donna smiles. Stephen leaves and Donna meets with the minister. She asks if they can skip the part where they ask if anyone objects, since there might be a stampede if he asks. The Reverend obliges, stating that it's not the first time he's been asked that. Downstairs, Ridge admonishes Rick for coming there with Taylor as his date. Rick points out that he and Taylor were both invited, and he doesn't think it's any of Ridge's business anyway. Stephen comes down and sees Pam standing there. Since they haven't been introduced, he does the honors. Pam smiles and says, "So you're the father of the home-wrecking slut!" "You must be Stephanie's charming sister," Stephen counters. Meanwhile, Brooke sees Taylor and asks her to step outside. Taylor says she's fine where she is, but Brooke insists and leads Taylor to the terrace. Brooke scolds Taylor for flaunting her relationship with Rick in front of the family, suggesting that their children will be devastated if Phoebe finds out. Taylor argues that her relationship isn't doomed just because people don't accept it, as Eric and Donna are proving today by getting married. Taylor goes back inside, leaving Brooke fuming.

Stephanie watches as the wedding begins.
Eric finds Stephanie adjusting a table arrangement and tells her not to do that, although he wants her to know she's free to stop by any time as long as she doesn't fuss. If he really felt that way, Stephanie responds, she wouldn't be moving out. Eric reminds her it was her choice to leave the house. Before Stephanie can reply, the minister comes over to tell Eric it's time to begin. Stephanie has one last piece of advice for Eric: she tells him to really think about what his vows mean as he's taking them, since they're supposed to last a lifetime. Eric just looks at her and walks away. He then joins the Reverend, who's standing by the fireplace with best man Rick and maid of honor Brooke. Stephanie sits down with Pam and Felicia, who are over on the groom's side with Thorne, Kristen and Taylor, while Bridget sits with Ridge on the bride's side. The wedding march starts and Stephen walks Donna down the aisle. Eric smiles at the sight of his bride, while Pam glares at Donna and fantasizes about spraying Donna down with a hose. Back in reality, Stephanie solemnly watches as Stephen walks Donna down the aisle and hands her off to the smiling Eric.

Brooke reads a passage from Shakespeare to express her wish for Donna and Eric to be given safe harbor from the tempests that surround them. The minister then tells Donna and Eric that it's time for their vows. Donna begins, telling Eric how much she loves him. She knows that he sees what's in her heart, and she hopes his family can see that, too, after they're married. Even though his children are grown, she wants this wedding to be about uniting their families. She tells him how much it means to be marrying him in this house, in front of his children and Stephanie, since she wants to bring some peace and harmony to this house and put the years of bitterness behind them. Eric then tells her that he's been thinking about their families, too, and about the other weddings that have taken place here. All the couples that have gotten married here placed their trust in each other, and that's what he wants to do for Donna today. The Reverend then walks Eric and Donna though the standard vows where they pledge their love to each other. As that happens, Stephanie wonders if Eric is remembering the love that they shared and remembers Eric promising to always love her during one of her hospital stays. Stephanie comes back to reality just as the minister asks Eric to take his final vows. But before Eric can say, "I do," he looks at Donna, pauses, and looks at Stephanie, who looks back at him.
