Registration Information

1. Select your program. Programs are 50 minutes long, and maximum class size is 25 students, unless otherwise noted in the description. If allowable, an additional fee of $5 per student will be charged, with a maximum at 30. all programs are tailored to the ability of the group. In-house programs are held at the Museum. fees listed in description are for in -house programs.
2. Call (516) 627-9400 ext. 10 weekdays between 9:00Am and 4:00 PM to register.
3. Lunch Room: Available 30 minutes before or after a program. Outdoor picnic area is available, weather permitting. Please reserve when you register.
4. Museum Shop: Be sure to allow some time during your visit for students to browse through the unique assortment of science-related items. For children, there are many items suited to peak their level of interest priced at  ¢25 and up.
5. Confirmation and Deposit: an invoice with request for a 50% deposit will be sent prior to your program date. If BOCES funded, claim form replaces deposit.

6. Note: The Science Museum reserves the right to cancel any program for which a deposit has not been received by the due date of the invoice.
7. Paid in Full: Any program fees due must be received on or before the date of the program. if BOCES funded, signed claim form represents payment in full. NO CASH ACCEPTED. MONEY ORDERS, CHECKS AND CREDIT CARDS ONLY.
8. Cancellation: To cancel a reservation, notify the Museum in writing no less than two weeks prior to the schedule date. Upon notification, your deposit will be refunded, minus a twenty dollar ($20) administration fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE IF CANCELLATION OCCURS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR RESERVATION DATE!
9. Severe Weather: Should conditions cause the closing of either your school or the Museum on the day of your visit, we will try to reschedule. If no alternative date is found, your deposit will be refunded in full. the Museum will be closed if the Manhasset School District closes due to inclement weather.
10. Field Courses: Dress appropriately for weather conditions. An extra pair of old sneakers or boots are needed for the beach or pond study. Outdoor programs are rain or shine.
