KEVIN O'NEILL'S DINOSAUR COLLECTABLES PAGE

Trade cards and other ephemera with a dinosaur theme.

The collection of themed material adds a new dimension to your hobby. Dinosaurs have been a popular subject for trade cards since they began and the collection of these shows how our knowledge of these prehistoric creatures has changed over the years. The cards also carry a lot of information on the subject which can form a useful reference.

Brooke Bond tyrannosaurus

Brooke Bond "Prehistoric Animals" Card is No 17, Tyrannosaurus, in a set of 50. This set was first issued in November 1971

Osato card

This double image came with Osato chocolate bars in Japan. The back is in Japanese which I cannot translate but the images are obviously a stegosaurus and a plesiosaur

Pepsi stegosaurus

This is card is No 6 in a set issued with Pepsi Cola in 1992. The illustration is an excellent representation of a stegosaurus by Dave Marrs.

Pez tyrannosaurus

This is a sticker featuring a tyrannosaurus that was issued with Pez sweets. There were 8 stickers in 4 sets.

 William Stout 2

This is card No 56 in the William Stout 2 set by Comic Images issued 1994. This study of the duckbill and stegosaur families shows the variation in head shapes of the duckbilled dinosaurs and differences in the spine and plate arrangements of the stegosaurs.

Fossil cards triceratops

This superb set of 80 Fossil Cards is by Mostly Minerals Inc. This is card No 71 and shows a triceratops specimen from the Hall Creek formation, South Dakota, in the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Alberta.
