I. IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO AN OVERHEAD PROJECTOR:
Make a copy of the word search puzzles given above onto a
clear projector cell. When you project the puzzle, you will want
to project it onto a dry-erase board or a large piece of poster board
or paper.
Have your class try to find a word hidden in the grid. When a
student finds a word, have him raise his hand. Call the student
forward and have him point out the word in the grid. Circle the
projected word on the board, not on the projector cell.
Continue until all the words are found and then turn off the
porjector to reveal the hidden key word.

II. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO AN OVERHEAD PROJECTOR:
Make a copy of the word search puzzle for each student. Have
the students find the words in the puzzle as a race. See who can
discover the hidden key word first.
For a variation on this, break up your class into teams.
Give one puzzle to each team of 3 to 4 students. See which team
can find the hidden key word first.
For younger children, give each child a copy of the puzzle and
let the class work together and help each other find the words to
discover the key word.
