Hungary joins the EU in May 2004. This is a country of ten million people which
has never considered itself part of "Eastern" Europe and has a capital city
that rivals (or maybe surpasses) Vienna.
Hungarian has an unreasonable reputation for being a difficult language,
but we can help you get around that and to help you make the most of the
rich cultural heritage of this exciting country.
We can do everything to help you business succeed, including:
-
Translation and interpreting services, including help in telephoning potential
contacts (most Hungarian switchboard operators don't speak English...).
-
Relevant background literature, reference books, directories, maps etc
-
Organisation of travel, accommodation and translation etc. within Hungary.
-
Market analysis and advice on market selection and market entry strategy.
Obviously there is a fair amount of publicly available information, but we
can help to interpret it. This is important because the different social
organisation and history produces a different mentality in relation to, for
example, sales techniques.
-
Basic market research. Since official statistics and directories are often
non-existent, out of date, or generally inaccurate, there is a need for primary
research. We have an extensive network of reliable contacts which we draw
on for this purpose.
-
Identification of contacts. Again, this is through indirect means, and our
network of contacts on the ground. Smaller companies not coming from
privatisation feature to only a very slight extent in trade directories,
but these are often the companies which you might be looking for.
-
Establishment of Distribution Networks. For projects with larger market
potential, we can assist in setting up distribution networks where local
distributors are not yet in place or are not capable of providing a comprehensive
service.
-
Information and advice on EC schemes and EC-supported institutions and what
benefits may be obtained from them.
