We can provide the following key experience:

Wide experience of developing SME policy and SME support institutions from scratch.

Varied experience of developing plans and projects to be funded through the EU Structural Funds (or the Structural Fund analogues in Central and Eastern Europe).

Detailed knowledge of EC and EC procedures through work in Brussels and planning for funding in other countries.

General knowledge of Central and Eastern Europe, including some language skills, and particularly strong connections with Hungary. Work in all of the countries now wishing to join the EU.

Specific knowledge of the SME sector in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the programmes and institutions which are developing and supporting it. Detailed knowledge of current stage of pre-accession structural instruments (ISPA and SAPARD) and planning documents required by the EC (National Development Plan etc).

Practical experience of identification, planning and evaluation of community projects in the UK

Practical experience of SME counselling and investment in the UK.

Analytical skills related to evaluation and assessment of projects.
