National Grange Photo Contest
- This contest being held at the Connecticut Agricultural Fair is for
members of Granges in Connecticut only.
- No Connecticut Agricultural Fair entry fee is required.
- There will be no Junior, Subordinate or Pomona level judging. All entries
go directly to the State.
- Entries must be at the Photo Department by 6:00 P.M., Thursday, July
24, 1997.
- No exhibits are to be removed before 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 27, 1997,
but all must be removed by 7:30 P.M. except first place winners. Photos
will be return mailed provided stamped, self addressed envelope is provided.
- All First Place Winners will be judged at the National Session in November.
GENERAL RULES
- Division - Separate competitions will be held for Subordinate, Junior
Group 1 ( ages 5 to 9 ) and Junior Group 2 ( ages 10 to 14 ) in each of
the five categories.
- Eligibility - open to all Subordinate and Junior Grange members.
- All entries must have been taken within the period of Aug. 30, 1996
& July 22, 1997.
- Classes: a. America the Beautiful; b. Grangers in America; c. Family
Stars; d. Memories... Memories; e. Celebrating
- Print may be made by commercial processor.
- Size - Including Frame or backing - not smaller than 5"x5"
nor larger than 16"x20".
- Only one entry per member in each of five classes.
- All photos must be suppported by a backing.
- Any entry with glass will be disqualified.
- Pictures must have title affixed to front, lower left corner of frame.
- Computer enhancement of photographs is not permitted.
AWARDS
National Awards will consist of a Best of Show in each division plus,
fisrt, second and third place ribbons, in each division and each class
for both Subordinate and Junior. The following cash awards will be made
on the National Level:
Subordinates - $25.00, $15.00, $10.00
Junior - $15.00, $10.00, $5.00
BEST OF SHOW:
Subordinate Division - $75.00, Junior Division - $25.00
