Penguin Species  Macaronis, African
Number of Birds  About 20 Africans and about 6 Macaronis
Description of Exhibit  The exhibit has a large and deep pool at the front with a hill in the middle providing a good range of different nesting environments.  The Macaronis tend to group together on the hill, while the Africans have occupied the nesting pipes laid out around the rear of the exhibit.  There is a good underwater viewing area as well as a viewing site above the exhibit. 

In front of the exhibit there is a display of life sized cutouts of all the penguin species.

How to get there  Marwell is located in Colden Common - not far from Winchester.  You need to drive there.
