Rockhopper and Yellow-eyed The Yellow-eyed Penguins are all round the Island in small numbers. The small Rockhopper colony is at Smoothwater Bay, just north of Perseverance Harbour. Occasionally a solitary King penguin has been found moulting on the Island. When we visited in 1995 two Chinstrap penguins were observed (presumed lost) on the Island. You can only get to Campbell Island by ship. There are few ships that visit the Island, the Klebnikov visits occasionally as does the Bremen.
