Apple Roll-Ups

INGREDIENTS

Preheat oven to 350.

Pastry:         
1               egg,beaten
250 mL          sour cream
2 c.            flour
2 T.            white sugar
2 t.            baking powder
1/4 t.          baking soda
1/4 t.          salt
Filling:        
4 c.            sliced apples
1/4 c.          sugar
1/2 t.          cinnamon
1/4 t.          nutmeg
Lemon Sauce:    
1 1/2 c.        water
1 1/4 c.        brown sugar,packed
2 T.            cornstarch
2 T.            lemon juice
2 T.            butter


To prepare pastry,combine egg & sour cream.Mix together flour,sugar,baking powder,soda,salt.Add to sour cream mix & mix well.On lightly floured surface,roll dough into 12" sq.Spread sliced apples onto dough.Combine sugar,cinnamon,nutmeg;sprinkle over apples.Carefully roll up dough,jelly roll style.Cut into twelve 1" slices.Place slices,cut side down,in greased 13x9" baking dish.Combine all lemon sauce ingredients except butter in saucepan Bring to boil,stir frequently.Pour lemon sauce over apple roll-ups & dot with butter.Bake,uncovered 35-45 min til golden brown.
