Apple Rice Pudding

INGREDIENTS
Amount      Item


2 c.            milk
1/2 t.          cinnamon
1/4 t.          salt
                dash nutmeg
1/3 c.          long grain rice
1 1/2 c.        coarsely chopped apples
1/4 c.          whipping cream
                ground nutmeg

In heavy med saucepan combine milk,cinnamon,salt,nutmeg.Bring to boiling. Stir in uncooked rice.Cover & cook over low heat 20-25 min til most of milk is absorbed,stir occasionally (Mix may appear curdled) Stir in chopped apples.Cool thoroughly.Fold whipped cream into rice mix.Spoon into 6 individual dessert dishes.Chill overnight.Sprinkle with nutmeg.
