Welcome To The News Page.

April 9, 2005:

At the end of June I will be completely replacing the Reference Page from scratch. The current format was originally designed to be readable by even the most basic of browsers of six or seven years ago. Well, software and computers in general have evolved a great deal since then.

While the end format hasn't been decided upon it will feature some sort of drop down or expanding text when you hover over the links. Enabling a much more useful information presentation.

So I have decided to take submissions for the first version of the new reference page, basically offering you a free place linking to your site with about 600 characters of descriptive text. The topic and category are wide open, I am not known for political correctness and personally tend to look out for those things which are unique and positively beneficial to the community or individual user.

This does not mean that the page will become a bulletin board for meaningless advertisements or a free-for-all list. I will continually check all new links and will not tolerate any "junk sites". Having said that however, if you have a site, content, or resource which you feel is truly unique, please feel free to write me, Patrick Clark at: Patrick_Clark@compuserve.com

I will be excepting suggestions for content until June 15, 2005.

Please watch the News Section (this page) for further updates and inspirations!

Take care,
Patrick Clark

Three new resources have been added, all available via the referenced page:

Those of you who are familiar with the concept of Web Rings will have noticed that the "Resource Ring" has lost its homepage, and the link had been redirected to an advertisement. This little discovery did not exactly please me, so I am applying to take over as moderator for the Ring. I'll let you know how it goes, in my next update.

Thank you! To all the people who've come back to this little site on a regular basis. I am glad it is been of benefit to you. Please feel free to drop a message my way if you have any comments or would like to see something added.

Why did I start this site?

At first, I started this site to simply help keep track of a few useful resources, and putting them together on one a web page meant only having to remember one address. Since most of my work had to do with online systems this made even more sense. The site had only eleven files on it and just a hand full of links, with myself being the only visitor. Now there are over 280 files and the task of adding and updating links is on going.

I would be more then happy to place a link to your (or any) web site or resource. Here are my guidelines for linking to sites:

  • The site address should not end with a file name.
    Example:
    http://human-rights.net/ OK:
    NOT http://human-rights.net/index.html

  • The site must not have pop-up on exit ads . I will link to free pages with good content provided the only pop-ups ads on the site are those placed by the site provider. So free web sites at Yahoo! and The Globe would be fine.

  • I reserve the right to accept or decline any site.
Every single link is reviewed and checked once a week.
Use this icon to link to this site.Of course, feel free to link to this site! In any way you see fit (A text link or use the icon on the left. ). The URL for linking to this site is: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Patrick_Clark/

Please feel free to send a link or coment and
Thank-You for stopping by this site!
