STATE RECORDS AVAILABILITY

The following is a brief description of some of the more commonly used records available from the State of Florida.

DRIVER LICENSE RECORD

1) Printout (3 or 7 year) - shows full name, date of birth, Social Security number if given, address, sex, race if given, height, violations and chargeable accidents.

2) Computer View - as above, plus older violations and charges for which adjudication of guilt was withheld. We have the capability to search by name without complete identifying information and also can search strictly by Social Security number. Historical alpha records are available back to January, 1972. Use to identify or locate an individual and to establish previous accidents.

DRIVER LICENSE APPLICATION

Shows signature, any infirmities, previous state of licensure if applicable. Parental consent form may reflect driver's parent's name. Can be useful in locating and for signature comparison.

TRAFFIC TICKET

For documentation purposes or for signature comparison. Also, as the driver's address and vehicle description are listed, a ticket can be useful in locating. Records at state level date back three years.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION RECORD

Includes automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, mobile homes and trailers. Shows date registered, address, make, model, VIN, title number, tag number, title issue date, lienholder. Can search by tag, VIN, name or title number, as well as partial VINs and tags. Records by name are updated quarterly and archives are available as far back as April, 1988. Use to locate and to determine assets.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION OR DRIVER LICENSE BY ADDRESS

Determine all vehicles registered using a given address, regardless of owner's name. Useful for locating, surveillance and PIP claim purposes. Also, determine all persons with driver licenses listing a given address.

VEHICLE TITLE HISTORY RECORD

Shows all owners of a specific vehicle, date of sale, selling price and signatures. Useful to determine owner on a specific date.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT SEARCH

Drivers, owners and passengers of the vehicle are cross-referenced by name. Shows injuries, addresses, insurance carrier, circumstances, charges and whether blood alcohol test was administered. Use to determine possible previous injuries and to locate.

TRAFFIC HOMICIDE REPORT

Completed for all traffic fatalities investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol. Gives detailed information about the accident, cause, circumstances, activities prior to accident, any blood alcohol results. Often includes results of autopsy, if done. Official photos of accident scene are available.

DEALER LICENSING RECORDS

Information on new and used auto dealerships in Florida. Includes previous employment of owners, credit info, personal and business references, all business locations of dealership, complaints and results.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY RECORDS

When a driver's license is suspended for having no insurance at the time of an accident -- and then reinstated by providing proof of coverage -- information about insurance coverage is sometimes available. Also, insurance information is often available using a vehicle's VIN, tag or title number.

BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION RECORDS

Regulated businesses include hotels and motels, restaurants, liquor licensees, lottery vendors and pari-mutuel wagering establishments. Detailed background information about owners is often available through these files.

If subject is employed in a regulated profession, records show home address and date of issue/renewal of license. Further information available by obtaining hard copy of license application: date of birth, Social Security number, education, place of birth. Disciplinary action also can be determined. Use to locate or establish background information. Regulated professions include:

Accountants, acupuncturists, architects, barbers, boat pilots, chiropractors, condo/timeshare salespersons, contractors (air conditioning, electrical, general residential building, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, sheet metal, solar, swimming pool, underground utilities), cosmetologists, dentists, emergency medical technicians, engineers, financial advisors, firearms instructors, funeral directors, insurance agents, judges, land surveyors, landscape architects, law enforcement officers, lobbyists, massage therapists, medical examiners, naturopaths, nurses, nursing home personnel/administrators, opticians, optometrists, osteopaths, pharmacists, physicians, podiatrists, polygraph examiners, private investigators, psychologists, real estate agents, securities brokers, security guards, state employees, stock brokers, teachers, veterinarians, x-ray technicians.

WORKER'S COMPENSATION CLAIM RECORDS

Listed by claimant's name or by Social Security number. Shows date of accident, employer, insurance carrier and type of injury. Records date from 1968 to present. Copies of claim files can be obtained on request. Documents of a medical nature are not available without authorization. Files are destroyed after two years of inactivity; in this case you can sometimes obtain them directly from insurance carrier. Use to determine possible previous injuries.

EMPLOYER CLAIM RECORDS Records can be obtained that list all worker's compensation claims filed against a specific employer.

FDLE CRIMINAL RECORD Shows full name, date of birth, Social Security number, address, description, aliases, date and nature of charge; sometimes shows disposition. Information obtained from Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Information Computer.

INMATE RECORDS Details of incarceration and release; limited information regarding parole is available.

BOAT OWNERSHIP RECORDS Shows name and address of owner, make, length, registration number, title number and issue date, lienholder. Can be checked by owner's name, FL registration number, hull number or by address. Use to determine assets.

CORPORATION RECORD Name and address of corporation, charter number, date filed, status, names and addresses of principals, registered agent. Can also search by officer name. Hard copies of articles of incorporation and other documents available and we can file documents on your behalf. Also, fictitious name filings, statewide; can be searched by the fictitious name or by the owner's name.

UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE(UCC) FILINGS

Can perform searches and file UCCs. Useful in determining assets.

STATE FIRE MARSHAL'S REPORT

Investigative report including nature and causes of fire, names and addresses of witnesses, charges, etc.

STATEWIDE PROPERTY RECORDS INDEX
Alphabetical by owner's name anywhere in Florida. Shows owner's mailing address, property location, parcel number, OR book and page number, type of property, date of sale, purchase price, homestead exemption, tax assessment value. Use to determine assets; can be used to locate. Records are updated annually and may be somewhat dated at time of search. Archives available back to 1986. Searches by address are also available.

OUT-OF-STATE RECORDS

Many of the listed records are also available from contacts established throughout the United States.

COMPUTER DATABASES

On-line access to a wide variety of nationwide databases containing a wealth of information for locating individuals, as well as determining background. These include: Social Security number traces, address criss-cross records, surname locator searches, change of address orders and death records. Call us for knowledgeable, thorough database research on your next locate.

RATES

Our investigative rate is $45 hourly, plus expenses. In general, each individual record listed can be obtained in one-half hour or less. Lower rates can be negotiated for volume requests. We will gladly discuss fees with you prior to initiating investigation.
