Ukrainian Children

Howard and Chris Baldwin have been leading partnership mission team overseas
since 1972. These are teams of Christians from America who are trained by Multi-Media Evangelism to distribute Bibles and to Share their faith in Christ. In the last several year the Baldwins have lead 9 missions in the former Soviet Union. Multi-Media Evangelism Inc. organizes partnership missions each year to foreign countries to share the Gospel. These groups are made up of Christians lay people, pastors and evangelists. In 1997 there were two missions to the Ukraine, one in May with 31 team members and the second in July with 45.

The May 1997 mission was to the region of Cherkassy south of the capital, Kiev. The American team members distributed 70 Christian Libraries along with 4,600 Bibles, 1000 Childre's Bibles, 3,400 New Testaments and some 7,260 Christian books.

In July the team of 45 served in the city of Odessa on the Black Sea. In the 10 day mission the team distributed some 35,000 scriptures and Christian books as they worked in orphanages, hospitals, prisons, health centers and churches. Medication and humanitarian items were brought to relieve pain and suffering. The challenge of both of these GOOD NEWS Partnership Missions have been captured in the video tape entitled "Ukraine GOOD NEWS MISSIONS'97".
