Over half a million people in North America use American Sign Language (ASL). They form the second largest language group in America. This is a living language that is fun to learn. Seeing the language on video is an excellent way to learn. Sign Language is a language of motion.

Each sign is explained from finger spelling to complete sentences. If you are not able to understand the sign the first time, you can back up the tape and watch it again and again until it becomes a part of you. The key to learning Sign Language is "practice, practice, practice". Deaf people appreciate a hearing person who tries to communicate in their language.
