Why is Mike a Christian.

I describe myself as an independent thinker and a practical academic. I have been a Christian since 1960 when I put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that we are all made in the image of God, but we have sinned and fallen short of that glory. I further believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He has made it possible to have all our sin forgiven and forgotten by the shedding of His blood when He died on the cross.

I also believe that we are living in the most exciting generation ever, and I am looking for the long awaited return of Jesus Christ when He come again, this time to rule and judge this world.

The finger print of God in the fabric of His Universe.

I do not believe that our present science can prove or disprove the existence of God. However, I do belieive that if we have" eyes to see" then He has left little clues in the very fabric of the universe that He created.

Is it just coincidence that in everyday matter there are three states, solid, liquid and gas? Or that there are three types of particle that make up the atom, proton, neutron and electron? Or that we now regard protons and neutrons as made up of three quarks? Or that the four fundamental forces in nature, the electromagnetic, gravitational, weak and strong, can now be reduced to three as the weak and electromagnetic converge? Is this not the slightest hint of the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit which is the Jewish and Christian God? You decide.

Which Church?

Well, there is only one, but we may have different expressions of it.

I attend the local Anglican Church, Saint Eustachius, and a house group of the local Vineyard Christian Fellowship where I am one of their trustees. I am also a member of the Evangelical Alliance.

This is a view of my parish church, St.Eustachius in Tavistock.
