Now on Release!

A New Collection of Classic Doctor Who Music on Compact Disc

The New Releases

All original soundtracks!

Following years of research, international rescue and cataloguing, Composer/Producer Mark Ayres is mastering a whole new series of classic original Doctor Who music for Compact Disc, to be released through BBC Music.

The releases are planned as two complementary ranges. The first is a multi-volume set charting the programme's relationship with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Starting with the sound of the TARDIS taking off for the first time, we allow the Workshop's soundscapes to take us on a journey around the universe of Doctor Who. We follow the TARDIS to the Dalek home planet Skaro, hear the Cybermen attacking The Wheel in Space and terrorising the streets of London, follow the Sea Devils as they plan to take over the world, and then take an extended tour of the Doctor's later adventures, from The Leisure Hive to The Trial of a Timelord and beyond...

Alongside this range is a second series of releases showcasing the work of the many freelance composers whose music underscored the Doctor's travels down the years...Dudley Simpson, Tristram Cary, Mark Ayres (who?) and many others...

The releases will be attractively packaged with extensive sleeve notes. Additional information will be published on the internet.

Who is Dr Who

Following the success of RPM records' "Who is Dr Who" (click here for more details), we are currently working on a second volume for release later in 2002.

The BBC Radio Collection

I continue to produce a series of compact disc releases for BBC Worldwide featuring the "missing" Doctor Who episodes, those stories for which the film prints are lost. Using off-air audio recordings and narration written by Sue Cowley and Michael Stevens, we try to help these lost adventures live on through the medium of sound. Narrators include Frazer Hines, Peter Purves, and Anneke Wills. Releases for 2002 include The Faceless Ones, The Smugglers, and The Enemy of the World.
