Producers' Note

This album was some two years in the making: from conception, preparation of new manuscript scores, actual recording of both orchestral and electronic music tracks to the final editing, mastering and artwork design. This recording was always planned as a "tribute" to Stanley Kubrick, and in fact Stanley heard many of the finished tracks in February 1999, but it was never envisaged that it would become a "memorial" with his untimely death on March 7th. Whether this album is finally judged to be either tribute or memorial, I trust that it is a suitable testament to the rare cinematic genius that was
Stanley Kubrick.

James Fitzpatrick and Reynold da Silva, March 1999.
